Paint It Like It Is with Alice Webb (Mondays)

In this introduction to oil painting class we will focus on both the technical aspects of oil painting and the basics of strong composition, proportion, object placement, value, and aerial perspective. Students will learn to mix color first by working with a limited palette and then, as we progress, we will add more colors to our palette.  After focusing on both painting from life and painting landscapes from photographs, students will choose the subject of their final painting. If you wish to break into abstraction as this time then go for it! Instruction will include short demonstrations as well as individual instruction. This class is intended for beginners and intermediate students who would like to sharpen their painting skills.
