Sketching the Landscape in Watercolor with Dave Cook (Mondays)

Join watercolor painter, Dave Cook, in this 8-week class exploring techniques of sketching in watercolor to create colorful compelling images of the New Mexico landscape. You will learn how to apply basic composition principles and loose brushstrokes to improve your artistic skills. By studying light values and practicing simple watercolor techniques, your self-confidence will increase as you learn how to achieve striking high contrast sketches. The beauty of transparent watercolors and simple textures can produce amazing impressions of nature, and capture the unique beauty of our nearby surroundings.
