Expanding Your Horizons - Combining Mediums with Maria Cole (Thursdays)

Sometimes artists are faced with the dilemma of wanting or needing to work with more than one medium in a work of art. The choice to combine mediums can be the best solution! This class will focus on just such problem solving situations,  offering artists the freedom to fully develop their ideas into successful paintings. Students will have the opportunity to work from photographs as well as explore possibilities of combining multiple mediums to create works representative of their ideas.  We will also be exploring ways to revitalize paintings with new approaches to drawing and painting skills. Revisiting basic drawing and painting techniques will reinforce good habits. Emphasis will be placed on composition, shapes, value, light and shadow, distance, focal point, color and perspective, Students will be free to work from any other subject matter.
