Let’s paint outside! In this week long workshop we will spend three days at different spots painting in nature. The fourth day we will work on finishing our paintings in the Art League studio and the last day is reserved for any finishing touches and a critique. The first three days will start with a demo and a short talk by Alice Webb. Information on how to create a dynamic composition, accounting for value, how color theory applies to the landscape and atmospheric perspective will be covered. You will have three hours to paint during which time Webb will work with each artist individually. All mediums are welcome: oils, acrylics, pastels and pan or tube watercolors. Since we will be outside for four hours the first three days you will need to make sure to use sunscreen and wear a hat. If you have a painting umbrella that’s great. Also bring water, a snack and a folding chair if you want to sit during demos and breaks. Restrooms may not be available but trees and bushes will be ☺.
Please sign up early; class size is limited.
