Advanced Landscape Painting in Oils with Jeff Otis (Monday through Friday)

There comes a time when you, as a painter, are ready to move beyond the basics and focus on pushing toward finding your own artistic voice. Join Jeff in an exploration of techniques of alla prima, multi-step painting, realism and impressionism. The principles of composition, color temperature, shadows, brush strokes, thickness of paint, edges, philosophies of painting and centers of interest will also be incorporated. Jeff will demonstrate and lecture while offering guidance and critique for all students as they work. Individual instruction will be constructive and positive while striving to reach a deeper level of knowledge as you progress as a seasoned painter. The goal is for students to produce works to be proud of while enjoying the process.
