Painting the Landscape in a Flash with Alice Webb (Saturday)

Get a fresh look and capture the essence of the landscape quickly. Spend Saturday morning with Alice Webb and learn to move fast and use gesture to create studio landscapes. Working from a photo students will learn to stay loose, a skill in itself and of ultimate importance. This practice will also enhance your ability to catch the fleeting light when painting en plein aire. Working with the medium of your choice you will make one or two small paintings. Bring to the workshop a photo of a landscape that you love. You will receive an email a week prior to class giving you an idea of what to look for when choosing your image. The first hour of the workshop will be a demonstration by Alice followed by three hours of painting time during which time Webb will “circle the Zoom room” to provide individual instruction.
