This workshop with focus on using two different color palettes for painting the still life. We will cover how to do preliminary sketches and values studies in oil paint. Painting with a limited color palette, using warm and cool colors and using a primary palette creates color harmony in our paintings. Oil painting materials; what kind of surfaces to use ( canvas vs rigid supports ) mediums, tools, brushes, pigments, solvents and safety measures like cleaning your brushes properly, will all be discussed and demystified. We will be working from two still life set ups, one devoted to the limited color palette and another for the color harmony palette. Working from Zoom online, you will be working from one camera focused on the still life and observing me working from another camera. I will also be sending each of you a reference photo of the still life set ups, to continue working from at home and to finish after the workshop ends.

Please sign up early; class size is limited.
