O’Keeffe’s priority was the vision of the artist. She never wanted to be known as a flower painter, however, her flower paintings are recognized throughout the world. In this workshop, you will be creating paintings with flowers, animal bones, and exploring a balance between these two themes. We will investigate how your stoke or your mark creates the illusion of form, weight, shape and air. We will discuss the motivation required to pursue a life in art, the wonder of beauty, the gift of sight, creativity and exploration. This workshop is for the intermediate to advanced painter, with the hopes of taking your work and your thinking to the next stage of development. Flowers and bones will be provided. Class size is limited to 12 people to ensure continued social distancing.
