Welcome to the New Mexico Art League!

Founded in 1929 by fine arts teachers and students of the University of New Mexico, the League has recently rededicated itself to function as an historic Student Art League in the tradition of its founders.

With an energetic and enthusiastic new Board of Directors, the League is working to expand its classes, workshops, and special events. In addition, as a result of serious efforts in grant acquisitions, the building, its facilities and grounds have been renovated and improved.

The League is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation, and donations to support the arts and the League are welcomed. For more information, please see the Donations page.

Over the years, the League has trained generations of artists who have attained regional, national, and international acclaim. Now, with its renewed focus, the League has expanded courses in fine art for all ages and skill levels, and added life drawing studios, exhibitions, lectures, and events to sustain and enrich the arts in New Mexico.
