Art Education at the League
Since 1929, the League has trained generations of artists who have attained regional,
national, and international acclaim. The League offers a number of ways
interested artists
can improve their skills, and is continually striving
to improve the scope and quantity of its offerings.
Classes at the League are usually weekly classes; some are scheduled for a specific number of weeks while others may be ongoing. New class sessions start approximately every three months, but some begin at different dates, so keep an eye on the Classes page so you won't miss anything.
Workshops vary in length from one or two to five days or more. Most are held in the studio spaces at the League but some painting classes can be held outdoors. Check the specific descriptions of the workshops to see what fits your needs.
Life drawing sessions are scheduled weekly, but the schedule may change to accommodate workshops or special events. Check the web page or call the League to make sure of the times and dates of these sessions.
The New Mexico Art League is pleased to have an oustanding group of instructors teaching classes and workshops. To learn more about them, visit the Instructors page.
